How To Find Your Air Filter Size
Check the label on your current filter or use a tape measure to determine the length, width, and thickness. Just make sure you know the difference between nominal and actual size.
FILTER
📏 Nominal Size
The rounded size printed on the filter label. This is what you use when ordering — it's not the true physical size of the filter.
📐 Actual Size
The true physical size of the filter, usually printed in smaller font below the nominal size. Always slightly smaller than nominal.
📏 Measuring
Measure your current filter or the slot opening. Round up to the nearest whole inch to get the nominal size for ordering.
Pro Tip: Always order by nominal size, not actual size. For example if your filter measures 15.5" x 24.5" x 0.75", order the 16x25x1.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT HVAC AIR FILTER FOR YOUR HOME
To choose the right size air filter, check the size printed on your old filter (length x width x depth), or you can measure the filter frame for the dimensions and round up to the nearest inch for the nominal size. You want to make sure the filter fits snugly in the slope without gaps. HOW TO REPLACE YOUR HVAC AIR FILTER
Replacing your air filter is a quick task. Just turn off your system, remove the old filter and install the new filter with the arrow pointing towards the unit. If you have a filter in the return vent, unlatch or unscrew the cover, slide out the old filter and insert new filter with the arrow pointing into the duct.
